Samui Airsoft Camp

Samui Airsoft Club would like to introduce Thailand’s popular and fastest growing sport to all Koh Samui residents and tourists – Airsoft or BB gun games.

 

 

 

What is Airsoft Sports?  

 

Airsoft is one of the newest and fastest growing sports in the world.  It is somewhat similar to paintball in that your primary goal is to shoot your opponent with an air-powered weapon but that is where the similarities end.  Most paintballers play in small field with brightly colored flashy uniforms.  Airsofter's on the other hand prefer MilSim (Military Simulation).  You will find that most Airsofter's like to dress-up the part of a military soldier to engage in simulated combat and/or re-enactment.

 

Airsoft guns are toy BB guns that for the most part are exact copies of real firearms.  You can find almost any airsoft version of a real firearm from as snub nose revolver to a 6 barreled Gatling gun!

 

You'll find airsoft to be an exciting hobby and superior to paint ball, at least in our opinion.

 

Is it dangerous?

 

There is a very small associated risk, as with any outdoor activity. Players need to wear eye protection, and be in good physical condition. Full training will be given, but of course, common sense prevails at all times. The games are great fun, but never at the expense of safety.

 

 

Who can play?

 

We welcome anyone over 16, or 14 if they have an accompanying guardian to our events. We can hire out all the equipment needed, but insist that people bring their own sensible footwear – runners or boots are a must.

 

 

Airsoft Guns & BB’s

 

This is essentially what attracts players into the sport. Airsoft guns are 1:1 scale replicas of actual firearms that fire 6mm, round, plastic pellets commonly called "BB's" which are propelled out of the guns by compressed air. In most cases, airsoft guns mimic the looks and functionality of it's real-steel counterpart. By that, meaning airsoft guns look, feel, weigh, and functions similar to the actual firearm.

 

There are 3 major types of airsoft guns: Spring-Powered, Gas-Powered, and Automatic Electric Guns (AEG's).
